The Airpoints memberwho sets up the Shairpoints Account (it could be you, or someone you know) is called the “Enabler”, and they can invite up to four people to join them in the Shairpoints Account each year*. Up to 2 of these members can live at a different address from the Enabler.
The Enabler can also choose which members can spend from the combined Shairpoints Account, and which members can only spend from their own individual Airpoints Dollars balance.
